The IKR has open PhD positions for new research projects.
Prerequisite is a (very) good university degree in one of the disciplines
- Electrical engineering with a major in information technology
- Computer science with a major in computer engineering or distributed systems
- Physics with solid knowledge in the fields mentioned above.
Future colleagues should be interested in research and teaching in the following fields
- High-Speed Networks
- Mobile Networks
- Computer Architecture
- Digital-System Design
- Service Architectures and Security
We offer an interesting and highly topical field of work and an excellent working atmosphere. Commitment and the willingness to act independently are expected.
In addition to project and basic research, participation in teaching tasks at the institute in the field of communication networks and computer engineering is part of the range of tasks.
The will to pursue a PhD is expected; the appropriate opportunities are offered. Payment is made according to TV-L 13.
The IKR has modern computer, laboratory and tool equipment and has internationally recognized competence in the field of communication networks, which was acquired in numerous projects in European, national and industrial cooperation projects.
