Communication method between control devices of network elements and network management system of communication network, by distributing control signals using peer-to-peer techniques

Abstract

The network elements transmit data which are divided into useful and overhead sections. Control signals for the control devices and the network management system are transmitted in the overhead sections. The control devices control the network elements are configured by the network management system so that useful information connections are made to the communication network and a control computer and the network management system form a peer-to-peer network in which control signals can be distributed using peer-to-peer techniques. Independent claims are included for a product in the form of a network element, and for a communication network.
